On June 2nd, BGM was thrilled to welcome students from the eKentucky Advanced Manufacturing Institute. This was an opportunity for the students of eKAMI to get a feel for what a manufacturing shop looks like, how it operates, see the wide variety of parts BGM makes, and see CNC machining manufacturing in action.
eKami is a machining school located in Paintsville, Kentucky and they are sponsored by Haas machines. BGM uses Haas machines in our shop and is looking forward to building relationships with the students of eKAMI who are looking to begin careers in CNC Machining. eKAMI prides themselves on getting students acclimated to the skills needed for 21st century manufacturing.
BGM will be heading to eKAMI for a visit on Friday, June 4th for an open house in their robotics department.
