	Rather than being made from a casting, as many forklift axles are, this was made from plasma-cut and machined components that were combined in a fabricated weldment, then machined again.
Blue Grass Manufacturing handled the entire fabrication process; when the final machining process was complete, we added steering knuckles, power steering cylinders, and other components. We shipped the fully assembled axle to the to Clark line on a cycle that meshed perfectly with their assembly cycle.

This was a complex job; the cycle times on the CNC machine tools, added to the complexity of the welding required, required us to have three lines running simultaneously in our plant - one for machining, one for fabrication, and one for assembly.

Blue Grass Manufacturing built all of the tooling and fixtures for the CNC machining and weldment processes. All work was completed by our own CNC machine operators and certified welders.
